You are invited to an upcoming performance created and directed by Melisa Putz in collaboration with dancers Christina Gesualdi and Marion Ramirez and musicians Thomas Clark and Marc Zajack with video projections by Melisa Putz.

The Air That is Her Breath
hOMe
Artistic Direction, Melisa Putz

Sunday April 28th, 2013
Performances @ 5:30pm and 7:30pm

Conwell Theater
Temple University
1801 N. Broad Street
(5th floor of Conwell Hall)

Admission is Free

The evening includes two pieces, The Air That is Her Breath performed by Melisa Putz and her baby in womb (seven months pregnant) and hOMe performed by Philadelphia dancers Christina Gesualdi and Marion Ramirez. The audience will travel on a poetic and meditative journey from the birth of a soul into a world of duality and the soul’s eternal search for the key to heaven.

Inspiration is derived from research into reincarnation of the soul and its cycle through the spirit world and rebirth. The teachings of Yogi Bhajan and Swami Muktananda are of particular influence in this performance.

Yogi Bhajan quotes that the soul enters the womb on the 120th day after conception and the mother becomes the vibratory receptor for the baby while in the womb. Through prayer and meditation she has capabilities to work through the soul’s karma as it is not yet attached to this world.

Swami Muktananda tells the story of where God decides to hide the key to heaven so he will not be lonely when man finds the key and leaves this world. If he hides it in the ocean, mountains or on the moon, man will search the ends of the earth and find the key. Instead, he decides to hide the key where man will never look, inside of himself.

Audiences will be invited to sit on the floor in an intimate performance space. Chairs will be available upon request.
